Japanese Symbol for Family
Family - Kazoku
Kazoku - Family (literally meaning “flowery lineage”)
In the late 1800’s to about the 1950’s this Japanese symbol was used by high members of the Imperial Government of Japan. Different forms of were used to describe different places of leadership (i.e. princes, dukes barons, etc.).
Over the past few years this has become a popular symbol for tattoos because of the ties to family and implication of royalty.
